This Strategic Growth Consulting Proposal is a Word quote template for independent consultants, boutique advisory firms, and fractional executives selling growth strategy engagements. It turns a high-level client need—such as entering a new market, improving the sales funnel, or setting a growth roadmap—into a clear, client-ready scope and commercial offer.
Use this consulting proposal template to price discovery workshops, market assessments, customer segmentation, go-to-market planning, revenue operations reviews, and leadership advisory. It helps you quote fixed-fee projects, daily consulting work, monthly retainers, and optional implementation support in US dollars.
Consulting fees depend on your seniority, specialization, client size, urgency, and whether the work is advisory or hands-on. The following North American ranges are practical starting points to adjust to your positioning and scope:
For fixed-fee work, tie the price to named deliverables rather than vague access to your time. A common structure is 50% on approval and 50% on delivery, or three milestones for projects lasting more than six weeks.
It can, but a fixed project fee is often stronger when the deliverables are clear. Include an hourly or daily rate for out-of-scope requests, extra workshops, or support requested after the agreed project end date.
Exclude work you are not pricing, such as campaign execution, CRM configuration, recruiting, legal review, software development, or media spend management. Also state that recommendations depend on the accuracy and completeness of client-provided data.
Be specific enough that both parties can recognize completion. Instead of promising “growth strategy,” name the outputs: for example, a market opportunity assessment, ICP definition, channel priorities, revenue KPI scorecard, and a 90-day implementation roadmap.
For a new client, a deposit or first milestone payment before kickoff is standard practice. State the amount, invoice due date, and that project scheduling begins once the signed proposal and payment are received.
